A new trailer for the upcoming rogue-lite survival sim The Flame in the Flood emerged today. It details three types of traps the player will have at their disposal to aid in their survival in the game’s post-apocalyptic setting.
The trailer features Scout, the game’s protagonist, setting three different types of traps in order to capture rabbits and wolves. Oddly enough, Scout’s canine companion Aesop, seen in past previews and trailers, is missing from this clip.

Developed by the self-described “triple-A refugees” of The Molasses Flood, The Flame in the Flood was the subject of a successful Kickstarter campaign that started in October 2014. Since then, the project has taken a more concrete shape, with a worldwide release date set for February 24.
If the twangy, folky music in this trailer has excited your wanderlust, you’ll be happy to know that The Flame in the Flood’s soundtrack is now up on YouTube and available for purchase.
